Updated 8 p.m. update — The judges are back at the tables after dinner. With just a couple thousand entries left, we have 832 winners in the database. The latest winner was an award of excellence for a combination portfolio for Cindy Wehling of the High Country News in Paonia, Colorado. Other portfolios are still on the tables — as are the first of the redesign categories. With just a couple hours left for us this evening, the competition’s largest single category of illustration (more than 1,000 entries) will have to wait until the morning. Update: Because a category was moved to another set of judges, cupping on the illustration category will take place tonight. If you’re expecting the complete database of winners going live this week, we’re sorry to dash your hopes. We have to wait until the World’s Best judging is completed next weekend.
