Kristin Lenz, who has been at the Boston Globe since fall 2007, is headed to D.C. to become art director for the Post’s financial section. Memo follows…
We are delighted to announce that Kristin Lenz of The Boston Globe will be the new Financial art director. She will help fill the big gap left when Dave Murray answered the call of public service and departed to fight money laundering terrorists in May.
A dynamic practitioner and advocate of meaningful visual storytelling, Kristin has honed her skills as a designer at the Sarasota Herald-Tribune, Orange County Register, Hartford Courant. Currently at the Globe, she is the paper’s primary A1 designer.
In Financial, Kristin will art direct Sunday Business, Washington Business and Real Estate. She’ll work with an already outstanding cadre of visual editors, daily Design Director Tan Ly and Graphics Editor Brenna Maloney. Last but definitely not least, we also expect Kristin to play a role in other design projects around the paper. Please welcome Kristin to Washington and The Post when she joins us on Aug. 25.

Awesome news! I’ve been a fan of Kristin’s work for years. Congrats on a great move!

I’m another fan who’s happy for Kristin. And I’m even more excited because I’m reading Katharine Graham’s autobiography right now, so all things Post fascinate me.
Congratulations!
also love the fact that you actually made something and not some idea put out on paper.....
welcome to Washington Kristin
